About the Winter School

The UpGrade Mobility Graduate School Winter School is the annual networking event of the KIT Mobility Systems Center. Within one week, PhD students from a wide range of mobility disciplines come together to learn, get to know each other, and engage in interdisciplinary training.

Application Process

The KIT Graduate School UpGrade Mobility invites all interested Ph.D. students from the field of mobility to the Winter School. The Winter School provides 10 places for international guests, sponsoring accomodation and meals. Each participant must finance travel to the conference venue in Karlsruhe on their own. Please attach the following information to your application:

  • Short CV including contact details
  • Confirmation of your supervisor
  • Name of your home university
  • (Working) title of your PhD thesis
